On October 2, after reconstruction, the Baku Meeting Place center was opened in the capital's Airport district. This is the 21st center of the Meeting Place network as part of a large-scale reconstruction program. The general contractor at this facility was MSU-1 Group of Companies. The opening was attended by Anton Andreevich Belov, Deputy First Vice President of MSU-1 Group of Companies, and Grigoriy Borisovich Pecherskiy, General Director of the Edisonenergo customer company.
The total area of the new center is 13.2 thousand m2. It includes five floors: four above ground and one underground. The appearance of the center has changed qualitatively for the better: the central facade has been glazed, and an open terrace for recreation has been equipped on the roof, where leisure activities and creative master classes will be held. The internal space was organized on the principle of a barrier-free environment in order to provide a comfortable visit for people with limited mobility.
Grigoriy Borisovich Pechersky noted that the new center will become a point of attraction for residents of the Airport and Sokol districts. He stressed: «The Baku Meeting Place, which today opened its doors to visitors, not only successfully fit into the architectural landscape of the district, but will soon become a new dominant of cultural life in the north of the capital. We have created a modern urban space where you can find everything you need for yourself and your loved ones, as well as usefully spend time with your family and friends».
Earlier, in July 2024, the Unique Objects division of MSU-1 Group of Companies successfully completed the reconstruction of the Prague Meeting Place center in the Savelovskiy District. The concept of such centers is focused on regular visits and adapted to the needs of Muscovites living nearby.
