On March 5, the Governor of the Moscow Region Andrey Vorobyov and Deputy Prime Minister of the Russian Federation Tatyana Golikova took part in the ceremony of laying the first stone in the foundation of the Balashikha regional hospital. It will be one of the largest among medical institutions near Moscow and will allow accepting more than a thousand inpatients. The construction of the hospital will be carried out by the MSU-1 Group of Companies. First Vice President of MSU-1 Ilya Vasilyevich Demidov also took part in the ceremony.
MSU-1 GC entered into an agreement for the construction of the Balashikha regional hospital in December, 2023. The project of the Balashikha regional hospital includes a 10-story main and pathological buildings, five checkpoints, related technical buildings and structures. It will house a consultative and diagnostic center for 300 visits per shift, departments of emergency surgery, traumatology, urology, maxillofacial surgery, thoracic surgery, gynecology, neurosurgery, cardiology and neurology. For the convenience of hospital staff and visitors, above-ground and underground parking are provided.
Andrey Vorobyov thanked the President of the Russian Federation for the implementation of an important healthcare project and noted the importance of high-quality high-tech medical care for the population of the Moscow Region: «About 1.5 million people live in the eastern direction of the Moscow Region, and we really needed such a medical center... I hope that our builders will not let us down, and in the first half of 2027 we will see a large modern clinic here».
«It's a truly grand facility, it's 1,123 future beds, it's a multidisciplinary clinic with a cardiovascular centre inside, which is also very important. As before, cardiovascular diseases are the main cause of mortality», — concluded Tatyana Golikova.
