MSU-1 GC acts as the general contractor for projects to remediate municipal solid waste landfills under the Ecology and Environment of the Moscow Region government programme. One of the major projects under the programme was the remediation of the Bykovo landfill. Located 3.5 km south of Pavlovsky Posad, the landfill accumulated 430,000 tonnes of domestic waste over its 48 years of operation. MSU-1 GC performed works to restore soil fertility and isolate the surrounding environment from the impact of biological processes at the landfill.
