The area improvements are 99% complete, we are laying the final few metres of rubber playground surfacing and trimming setts for paving in some places. The interior finishing is 95% complete, with minor work remaining in the assembly and sports halls. Everything is on schedule, and on 1 September, the school will open its doors to students,” said Igor Veselov, the project manager at MSU-1 GC.
He added that 500 construction workers are now working on the site, with little machinery left on-site as the bulk of works is already complete.
The new school will house four sports halls, two of them fitted with gym equipment, all with locker rooms and showers. The school’s canteen seats 800 people, and the kitchen also has the latest equipment. The assembly hall with multimedia equipment will be able to accommodate 575 people.
