MSU-1 GC specialists completed the concreting of an artificial runway with a length of 2500 meters at Arkhangelsk airport ("Talagi"). Representatives of the Arkhangelsk region administration and the leadership of the MSU-1 GC discussed the start of flights at a visiting meeting attended by the First Deputy Governor of the Arkhangelsk Region — Chairman of the Regional Government Alexei Alsufiev, Deputy Chairman of the Government of the Arkhangelsk Region Dmitry Rozhin, Minister of Transport of the Arkhangelsk Region Sergei Rodnev and Acting General Director of the Arkhangelsk Airport Talagi Alexander Dubinin.
The regional administration examined the facility and highly appreciated the quality of the work carried out by the company. The meeting took a detour along the runway and discussed the completion roadmap.
«These large-scale works are the main ones in the first stage of reconstruction of the airport infrastructure. Now the airport is installing light and weather equipment, asphalting roadsides and planning the airfield. In the same time, builders are engaged in the drainage network and radio engineering facilities arrangement. Acceptance of work is scheduled for the end of October, in parallel, permits will be issued, thus with the full readiness of the runway, flights will resume as soon as possible», — said the Governor of the Arkhangelsk Region Alexander Tsybulsky in his social network.
Also, the high quality of work was noted by the First Deputy Governor of the Arkhangelsk Region — Chairman of the Government of the Arkhangelsk Region Alexei Alsufiev: «We confirm the high quality of work that we regularly checked during the entire period of their implementation. In the near future, the contractor has yet to complete a certain part of the work. All work by builders is carried out in a timely manner, and the contractor has enough resources and equipment for this. Next week we will meet again with the customer and contractor to determine the exact date of the airport opening».
On the MSU-1 GC side the meeting was attended by the President of the company Ilya Zyubin, the executive director Artem Bortnevsky, the vice president for regional and industrial construction Vladimir Grishkin, the deputy vice president for regional and industrial construction Oleg Sukhanov and the business assistant of the President Dmitry Shitikov. In addition, the meeting was attended by members of the MSU-1 GC project team, in particular, project director Kirill Glagolev and deputy production project director Alexei Kochemasov.
The execution of the remaining work will be controlled by the regional government and the state customer of Rostransmodernizatsiya, FSI. In 2024, a patrol road, treatment facilities and an emergency rescue service building will be built in the airport. The works are expected to last until August next year, but they will not affect flights.
