MSU-1 GC management held a working meeting at the construction site of Talagi Airport in Arkhangelsk, which had its runway closed for refurbishment on 1 May 2023.The MSU-1 GC team was led by Ilya Zyubin, MSU-1 GC President.
The attendees inspected the refurbishment site, reviewed the completed preparatory works and the frequency of sand and gravel supplies, and checked that the construction of the Company’s own concrete plant was progressing as scheduled, the site had all the necessary construction equipment, and the storage capacities were sufficient.
A special item on the agenda was a meeting with Alexey Alsufyev, First Deputy Governor, Chairman of the Government of the Arkhangelsk Region. The MSU-1 GC team shared their confidence that all the works would be completed on schedule and on time, after which the renovated airport complex would welcome its first aircraft.
MSU-1 GC is the general contractor of the Talagi Airport refurbishment project. At the moment, more than 200 construction workers are working on the site, and more than 60 pieces of equipment are in operation. The project is scheduled for completion in August 2024, and the 2,500-m runway will be refurbished by December 2023. The project will also include renovation of the taxiways, drainage system, and wastewater treatment facilities of the airfield; installation of light signalling equipment and site fencing; and construction of a patrol road and emergency rescue station.
