On 26 June, Andrey Vorobyev, the Governor of the Moscow Region, visited the children’s multi-specialty hospital in Krasnogorsk, a construction project being implemented by MSU-1 GC.
To date, in-situ concrete works have already been completed for buildings A1, A2, and D as well as for the underground two-level car park. The project is 68% complete. The hospital is expected to welcome its first patients in April–May next year. It will be able to treat 15,000 children from all over the country annually. The initial construction deadline was the end of next year, but the team is working 24/7 to deliver it ahead of schedule in March.
Andrey Vorobyov noted that one of the main goals for building such a large-scale facility is to create a multidisciplinary centre, with methods and equipment that will remain up-to-date over the coming decades: “This is why we will purchase more than 8,000 pieces of equipment for the hospital, such as MRI and CT scanners, X-ray machines, endoscopes, ventilators, etc. Its high-tech features include 3D navigation for complex surgeries on the head, spine, and joints; a remote-controlled X-ray system; a 128-slice CT scanner; advanced rehabilitation simulators with electro-stimulation; and high-precision endoscopes and laparoscopes that can accelerate recovery times from 2 weeks to 7–8 days. We will set up a control centre in the hospital to coordinate all paediatric medicine in the region,” the Governor said on his Telegram channel.
The hospital will house a consultation and diagnostic centre with a capacity of 300 visits per shift as well as 17 inpatient care departments and 13 surgeries. There will be a helipad for emergencies. The doctors and hospital staff will be able to make use of a simulation centre, fitted with advanced equipment, to enhance their knowledge and skills.
