On November 30, the first passenger plane landed on the new runway of the Talagi airport in Arkhangelsk. The MSU-1 Group of Companies carried out the reconstruction of the airport complex.
Passengers of the landed plane from Naryan-Mar appreciated not only the quality of the runway, but also the comfortable environment in the terminal: the interior and navigation system were completely changed, modern lighting equipment was installed, and the cafe now has a panoramic view of the new runway.
The acting director of the airport, Alexander Dubinin, noted that now the runway coverage meets all the strength characteristics that are necessary for aircraft of any type: "Now we have an excellent runway no worse than in the capital and St. Petersburg." After reconstruction, the air harbor is ready to receive ships of large and small aircraft. Thanks to the runway of the new level, the safety and comfort of passengers will increase.
The Governor of the Arkhangelsk Region, Alexander Tsybulsky, announced the expansion of the geography of flights from Arkhangelsk: "In 2024, we plan to expand and fly to Novosibirsk, Caucasian Mineral Waters. Novosibirsk, Nizhny Novgorod and other areas are being discussed. We want to open a direction to Belarus, Minsk. The airport has international status, and regular flights with our neighbors, from the request of passengers may be here."
MSU-1 GC completed all work at the facility ahead of schedule. Deputy Project Director Nikolay Koritsky noted that this flight strip will serve for another 20 years after reconstruction.
