FSK Group will landscape the Rotterdam housing development, located in the Nagatino-Sadovniki District, in the Dutch style. The Netherlands spirit will be felt through stylised spaces encompassing lawns, water features, and field plants. The development’s hallmark will be tulips, planted in the spring.
“The area improvement project reflects the general philosophy of the housing development and is aimed at creating a calming landscape with plenty of air and a lot of space. We want to turn the courtyard into a real place of power for the residents, and we paid attention to every detail,” said Pyotr Kirillovsky, Director for Product Development at FSK Group.
The landscaping project was conceptualised by the Moscow-based architectural studio UTRO. The architects sectioned the housing development into themed zones. Active and loud sports grounds and playgrounds are located beyond the inner courtyard, which is reserved for playgrounds for young children, coworking, and yoga spaces.
The area improvements will turn the landscape into a plain, featuring a creek and a splash pad. The project concept is complemented by a bicycle network, including bicycle parking at the buildings and bicycle paths passing through the housing development and connecting it with the embankment, MCC stations, and public transport stops.
The landscaping project concept will be also supported by information signs that look like those seen in Dutch cities and industrial ports. This effect will be achieved with the help of steel pipes, formed sheets, cool colours, and fonts used on the signage.
The Rotterdam housing development is a business-class project, launched by FSK Group in late 2021 and situated within walking distance of Nagatinskaya Metro Station. Its five high-rise tower blocks with futuristic architecture will house 803 flats. The underground floors will host a car park and storage rooms. The housing development will be commissioned in 2025.
