FSK Group’s Larta Glass has become Russia’s first company to launch the production of a new type of glass – energy-saving, sputter-coated, nine-metre-long glass. Launched at the company’s plant in the Rostov Region, production was enabled through upgrades, which lasted until February 2023 as an extension of an investment programme to grow the Group’s enterprises.
Architects already use oversized architectural glass from international manufacturers, and until recently, it had to be imported from Europe. This production site for oversized coated architectural glass is unique in Russia.
“The production of oversized coated glass will increase the attractiveness of projects, providing extraordinary façade aesthetics and adding project value through simplified logistics and new opportunities for architects and designers to bring their ideas to life. Despite the fact this glass requires specialist installation and transportation, it meets and exceeds modern requirements, and its popularity will continue to grow. FSK Group plans to use this type of glass in its new business-class projects and in the construction of its headquarters in the Sydney City housing development,” said Vladimir Voronin, President of FSK Group.
The new nine-metre-long oversized glass will be available with all the company’s wide range of architectural coatings: HP, HD, SE, and HS. Despite the large size of the glass, its sputter coating means you do not have to compromise on thermal performance.

The growing demand for oversized glass is a long-term global trend that can also be seen in Russia. Architects do not want to be constrained by the manufacturing capabilities of glass producers and recyclers. They seek increasingly bold solutions, creating unusually shaped buildings, and for façades, they often choose large elements that help to make a building look light and at the same time a single unit, all glass, seamless.”
Larta Glass is presenting its new product at the MosBuild exhibition of building and finishing materials, which takes place in Moscow from 28 to 31 March 2023.
