On August 9, the opening of the renovated building of the State Budgetary Institution "Mosgorgeotrest" on Leningradskiy Prospekt took place. First Vice President Andrey Alekseevich Belov, Deputy First Vice President Anton Andreevich Belov, Chief Engineer Andrey Vladimirovich Titov, Project Manager Artem Vyacheslavovich Ryabov and Deputy Project Director Natalya Aleksandrovna Smirnova took part in the ceremony from the part of MSU-1 Group of Companies. From the part of Mosgorgeotrest SBI the ceremony was attended by the manager of the Mosgorgeotrest State Unitary Enterprise Alexander Yuryevich Serov and deputy managers Vadim Yuryevich Svitin and Alexander Andreevich Bocharov. The opening was also attended by the chairman of the committee for architecture and urban planning of the city of Moscow, Yuliana Vladimirovna Knyazhevskaya, and other representatives of the Moscow City Architecture Committee.
The building, built in 1929 according to the project of A.V. Yuganov, initially had three floors and was an object of constructivism. Throughout its history, it was repeatedly rebuilt: in 1957 the building was built up to seven floors and rebuilt in the style of Soviet neoclassicism according to the project of A.V. Kurnosov. Unfortunately, in 2020, as a result of a serious fire, the building received significant damage.
Reconstruction began in 2021 and lasted about 2.5 years. According to the project manager Artem Ryabov, in the course of the work, the specialists of the MSU-1 Group of Companies strengthened the base and foundations along the perimeter of the building, installed the internal emergency bracing system of the structure, replaced all engineering networks and inter-floor coverings, and also built three floors, increasing the total height of the building to nine floors. Specialists retained the appearance of the structure, adding graphicity to the facade with the help of cladding with new graphite color metal panels.
Now the building has a total area of 8647 m2 and retains its functions as an office space in which employees of the Mosgorgeotrest will be located. The main entrance was slightly offset to improve the aesthetics of the facade, which still has a graceful classical structure. The opening of the new building marks an important step in restoring the architectural environment of the city.
