The new Baku centre has four above-ground storeys and a basement floor. The architectural concept of the community centre was developed by the famous Amanda Levete, the British architect behind the refurbishment of the Victoria and Albert Museum in London, and adapted by Russian designers. The design features a central glass façade that lets in daylight and makes the building appear open to the city. The well-furnished summer terrace on the roof will be open for visitors to do yoga, read, or just enjoy the view. The original “Baku” sign on the façade will be restored using 3D scanning technology and modern, durable materials.
