A new childcare centre for 350 children will soon appear in the Kotelniki Urban District. The roofing and masonry works are almost completed.
Sergey Zhigalkin, head of the district, said that this is not the only centre under construction in the Parkovy Microdistrict: a school for 2,000 students is also planned for construction in Kotelniki.
“On Kuzminskaya Street, a 400-bed polyclinic is also being designed,” he said.
The site team, comprising about 50 people, is now working on the roofing and external utility infrastructure. The childcare centre will be completed in December this year, while the school is slated to open in 2024.
Tigran Akbalyan, the site manager at MSU-1 GC, said that the project is about 30%–35% complete.
“We are on time; we might finish ahead of schedule – hopefully,” he said.
Sergey Zhigalkin noted that the school and childcare centre are being built under a governor programme.
