Commissioning permits have been issued for Buildings 13 and 15 of the problem-laden Ostrov Erin housing development in the village of Raevo, Krasnopakhorskoye municipality, announced Anastasia Pyatova, Chairwoman of Moskomstroyinvest, on Monday, 4 July.

These are the first buildings out of all the problematic ones to be completed and commissioned by the Foundation. There are 26 defrauded buyers registered in the two three-storey blocks of flats. Currently, works continue to commission stages 2 and 3 of the delayed construction project,” she said.

According to Alexander Goncharov, CEO of the Moscow Foundation for the Protection of Rights of Real Estate Buyers (Co-investors), the previous developer built buildings that did not comply with the design documentation.

The Foundation, with help from MSU-1 GC as the EPCM contractor, finalised the documentation, addressed snags, and provided the buildings with the necessary utilities. The list of works also included replacing the roof and fixing the façades and basements, and other architectural features.

Alexander Kozlov, a member of the Moscow City Duma, said that the Troitsky and Novomoskovsky Administrative Areas still have five problematic construction projects left. He stated that works are ongoing at four housing development sites: Legenda, Kokoshkino, Troitsk E-39, and Ostrov Erin.
